What the heck is a Kritajna and how it can change your life forever

Sanskrit. The mother of all languages. It’s funky, ever mysterious phonetics tantalize my vocal cords. Kritajna, the subject of this post, is another word that lives up to the enigmatic Sanskrit persona. So what does it mean? Kritajna means gratitude. The word (krita) means cultivated, and the root (jna) refers to a state of consciousness. Therefore, Kritajna illuminates a state of consciousness that is chosen or created.

So why the heck do I care about intentionally chosen states of consciousness? More specifically, what the crap is so special about consciously chosen states of gratitude? Well, I’m glad you asked my friend… Prepare to be enlightened.

The attitude of gratitude is fundamentally key for creators. And don’t quickly write this off because you just thought to yourself that you aren’t a ‘creator’. If you’ve just decided this doesn’t apply to you because you see creativity as something that only artists and musicians are good at, then that would make you the opposite of a creator – a competitor. Everyone is either one or the other. Creator’s and competitor’s seek the same thing, to enhance their lives so that they may exist in their fullest potential. The difference between the two is a creator seeks enhancement by bettering the lives of those around them. A competitor will enhance their lives by taking from or harming those around them in order to get ahead. Still think you aren’t a creator? I’m certainly not implying that one or other other is better or worse. The practice described below can be cultivated by either. However, when we send positive vibes out that is what we receive back and same goes for the opposite. So it’s up to you. Give that which you wish to receive.

We are all striving for more each day. “I’m going to be a better me today than I was yesterday.” This simple notion, that we seek to expand into a better, more useful being is our reason for existence. There is a non-tangible substance that lives at the core of every cell of matter and beyond. It is ever expanding and it wants you to have all the resources you need to become the ultimate you.

So in closing, what does all this have to do with kritajna aka gratitude? Because when we hold the attitude of gratitude in the forefront of our minds we are in a position to communicate through a channel that speaks directly to this non-tangible wish granting genie.

Don’t believe me? Give it a try. While remaining in a state of gratitude ask the Universe for something that you want, hopefully with the intention of becoming a better person who can help others evolve as a result of receiving what you asked for. Ask from the state of gratitude, never for one second doubt the manifestation of your request and think about it like it’s already yours. Like you know that you know that you know what you asked for is already on its way.

Do this as many times as it takes until you receive what you asked for and when it comes, let me know about it here in the comments section.

Happy thanking!

Why we should always do our best

Your best depends on the quality of your body and mind. When you’re tired, upset, angry or jealous your best will be less than when you feel rested, happy, fulfilled and thankful.

Take care of yourself. Don’t overdo it so much that you deplete your resources and can’t help yourself or others. But no matter where you are, depleted or replenished you can still do your best.

Why does this really even matter? Because doing your best means you can’t judge yourself. If you don’t judge yourself then you avoid the harsh criticism of the judge, victimization, self-blame and self-punishment that lives in the mind. This cycle entraps us creating a prison in your own body and ultimately restricts us from living in our full potential.

Overwhelmed with Emotions

Why are some days more emotional than others? One day you’re crying because you saw a little girl giggling and smiling as she ate an ice cream cone and another you couldn’t budge a tear even if you witnessed a military officer return home to surprise loved one’s. Why are we more sensitive at certain times and cold as stone others?

I just watched a video on Facebook about a nonprofit that finds foster parents for pets of deployed military members. And being that today is a more emotional day for me, I teared up immediately and pressed play. When the pet owner was returned to their dog after a year, the emotional reunion had me bawling like a baby! So why does this happen? We get caught off guard with our feelings. Just scrolling through Facebook, pressing play on a random video, next thing you know there’s not enough Kleenex in the world to dry the sea.

Know that where ever you are in the moment that invokes tears, it is the perfect recipe. Your heart is ready to cry, so don’t hold back and let it out. Release what’s ready to leave you. Our perfectly Divine and serendipitous Universe gave me exactly what was needed to open the floodgates. It wasn’t about the video, or the over zealous dog that could’t get enough licks on her owner’s face. It was about me being aware of my emotional state at the very moment tears came. And it was my choice to be present in the moment of opportunity or depart the emotions and stuff them back down. I chose to release which led me to share my experience with all of you.

Intention

It’s been twenty-four hours since I established this work in progress. I have been thinking vigorously on the question, what’s the point? Why do I want to open up my world to other’s?

I’d like to set an intention for the future of this baby that I am so carefully crafting.

My intention is to manifest my gifts of creation.

I live a life of very insightful but very fleeting epiphany’s. I want to share my thoughts, my journey and the ever so many interests that come and go rapidly. Even if only for my own future keepsake one day.

So, here ya have it folks! My blog. My life. My memory’s. My perspective.

Hang on cause it’s gonna be a bumpy ride!

Blogging is Hard

So here I am, making another attempt to improve the quality of my life. I’ve decided to start a blog. Why? For lots of reasons. To document my journey, to hopefully reach others who are looking for inspiration, to prove that the road to success is not paved with gold. It’s hard to challenge fears. And opening up my feelings and thoughts to the world is a huge fear for me. I gently remind myself that I am human after all.
